This morning we got the sad news that our beautiful friend Kathryn had passed away, across the world in America but so close to our hearts. She will be sadly missed by all her friends here in Australia, who feel utterly blessed to have known her.On Mothers' Day (13th May here in Australia) my family and I will be doing the Mothers' Day Classic 5km Walk to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. Our participation will be dedicated to Kathryn's memory. Thank you for posting this. Many tears have been shed today for Kathryn. We will miss her friendship, laughter, courage and determination.
Kathryn introduced me to Australian fabrics which I purchased during a yard sale she was having to help raise money for her extensive medical bills. I formed a friendship with her and went on to piece tops of signature blocks from her many friends in Australian and the US. She was a darling person and I know she is at peace and joyful in her new location. Who knows maybe she's even working on a new quilt.
